Filmmaker, Creative Director and multidisciplinary artist with a love for technology, Aaditi has worked a gamut of films with clients such as Shekhar Kapur, Dibakar Banerjee, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. By making the most of her visual effects background, her greatest expertise lies in creating imaginative worlds for films. One of her recent endeavors was Mirzya (2016) where she worked as a Visual Development artist and designed the look of the film.
When taking time off from Bollywood, she uses her skills as a filmmaker and photographer to shed light on stories with a social significance. One of such projects was the short animation film called, ‘The Girl Who Kicked The Ball’ where she was the Concept and CG supervisor. The animation was created for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, to mark 40 years of successful efforts in polio vaccinations worldwide. Artists from all over the world were selected to interpret the subject in their own way, and this was the film sent from India.
Former Associate Director at Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra Pictures, Aaditi Directed her own film on the aftermath of the Nepal Earthquake in 2015. Over the years, her films have all received accolades at the various International Film Festivals including at Cannes and Best Shorts Film Festival. In addition, her photographs of the aftermath of the Nepal Earthquake (2015) have been featured on the United Nations Information Center Newsletter and The Scribbler among others.
Photographer by passion and globe-trotter by choice, she has previously lived in London, Bangkok, New Delhi and is currently in Mumbai.
